The Role of the Teacher is Ever Changing

I believe that the role of the teacher will dramatically change in the next several years. I believe that it will change from an administrative role, where the teacher is lecturing and examining, to a role of participation. More so participation on the students part. The student will become less of a listener to a more interactive position. The information on the Internet is ever expanding, I believe that teachers will use it more and more. The students will then use it more and be able to put in their ideas of what was said and what was going on.

From the History perspective, I would have my students do research and then have discussions, not necessarily a lecture. I would prompt them to give their ideas and then have the class dissect them and hopefully discover new ideas that help them understand what is going on.
