I believe that it will change from an administrative role, where the teacher is lecturing and examining, to a role of participation. More so participation on the students part. The student will become less of a listener to a more interactive position. The information on the Internet is ever expanding, I believe that teachers will use it more and more. The students will then use it more and be able to put in their ideas of what was said and what was going on.

From the History perspective, I would have my students do research and then have discussions, not necessarily a lecture. I would prompt them to give their ideas and then have the class dissect them and hopefully discover new ideas that help them understand what is going on.

Technology Request

If I had a classroom at a nice school, that did not have proper technology in it, I would send a request form. I would request that the school board would allow me to purchase at least one computer (in addition to the computer I have as a teacher) so that students could use that to do research for group projects and presentations. I would also request them to invenst in a Smartboard so that I can have interactive projects during class time. For the Smartboard, they would need to buy a projector, otherwise the Smartboard is useless. I would also suggest that they purchase a mobile lab, not just for my class, but for the entire student body.

I love Ed.
